Project Responsibilities
Peggy Winston's responsibilities:
Upon request for estimate, review research problem and provide an estimate of time needed to research records and prepare report, as well as expenses likely to be incurred.
Research begins upon receipt of client's deposit. At this time, a research plan is prepared after further analysis of material provided by client.
A record is kept of all sources searched, whether the results are positive or negative.
A report is prepared citing all sources searched, providing copies of information found, whenever possible, or an abstract. An analysis of information is also provided, along with suggestions of further research that can be done.
A detailed invoice is prepared, showing time spent, repositories visited, and additional expenses.
The client is mailed or e-mailed a notice of final payment due. Upon receipt of check, the report is immediately mailed out.
Client's responsibilities:
Provide all known information about the person or family being researched that will assist in identifying the correct family. Also include copies of all relevant materials that will provide the researcher with the most complete information about the family.
Provide a list of previous Oregon or Washington research done. This will prevent the client from having to incur the expenses of any duplication of research previously done.
Notify researcher of any new information pertaining to the research project immediately. If a project must be cancelled, the client is responsible for all expenses up to the point of notification.
Peggy Winston, CG will be listed by the client as the source of this research and any conclusions provided.
